GoGreen with Lotus Belle: Eco-Friendly Online Shopping Made Easy
Introducing: Carbon-Neutral Shipping with DHL GoGreen & Planet by Shopify
Year after year, the number of parcels shipped worldwide increases – along with the CO₂ emissions caused by numerous delivery routes. As a modern E-Commerce business specialised in sustainable Lotus Belle canvas tents, we take responsibility for the environment and offer carbon-neutral shipping. In partnership with DHL, we support the GoGreen initiative to offset the CO₂ emissions generated during transport.
On top of that, we also use the innovative third-party app Planet by Shopify to ensure that all orders are carbon-neutral. The App automatically calculates the carbon footprint of each order and deducts a small portion of the delivery costs. These funds are then used to support and implement certified climate protection projects. This means that with every order, you contribute to reducing the environmental impact of shipping and help protect our planet.
We aim to promote eco-conscious camping and glamping by integrating sustainable solutions in every aspect of our business – from the production of our tents to delivery straight to your doorstep. Together, we make luxury and comfort in nature more accessible and contribute to a greener future.
About the App Planet by Shopify
E-commerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why the Planet supports cutting-edge companies that remove carbon from the air. Together, participating businesses have removed thousands of tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere, and provided carbon-neutral shipping on more than ten million orders.
Here's how it works: For every order, Planet uses a special formula to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on these estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to companies vetted by Carbon Direct’s scientists. These companies then remove the exact amount of carbon generated by our shipments. Any surplus funds are invested in developing carbon recycling technologies.
Carbon Direct works closely with the European Union to create a robust and transparent certification system for carbon sequestration, playing a key role in helping Europe reach net-zero emissions by 2050. This system emphasises the distinction between temporary and permanent carbon storage while promoting innovation and environmental justice.
By working with Planet and Carbon Direct, we aim to reduce the impact of climate change and create a sustainable future.
